Weather Policy:
It
is not our policy to cancel leagues.
If
you feel the conditions are bad enough that your team would not be able to
venture out, it is your responsibility to contact the opposing captain and try
to arrange a make-up match. Phone
numbers are available by calling VVS. Do
not assume that the match will automatically be rescheduled just because of the
weather. You may need to get a sub
or call our league representative about rules in regard to playing with less
than a full team. I would hope that
teams would be a little lenient in regard to start times.
If you are running late, call your match location and let your opponents
know. We ask that if you do
reschedule, you let VVS know when you are planning to play.
There
are far too many teams in our leagues to attempt to contact every captain of
every team to cancel leagues. There would always be a few we wouldn't get in
contact with that would make it to the bar and then be upset that they didn't
have a match. I hope you
understand.
You
may want to call the bar too, just to make sure they will be open.
We
are very aware of the problems associated with inclement weather conditions.
The safety of VVS League players is of our utmost concern.
As always, please drink responsibly and drive safely.
